A weekend I won't forget.

My weekend started off like normal. Friday morning was spent having my last day of radiation for the week, I then went and saw my oncologist later that afternoon. I got my blood work done and everything looked good, if not better. Despite being a little more tired and having migraines, everything was going great. After talking to my doctor and getting his "ok" I decided to take the trip to Oregon State so I could attend the 100th anniversary of my sorority. I was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega {chi chapter} when I attended OSU and it was one of the best parts of my college experience. I met great girls and always felt like I had a place to call home. There are so many fun and exciting things I could talk about and reminisce on but I'll save that for another time. This weekend was about the 100th year celebration of the chi chapter. It was the first sorority at OSU, not to mention the best ;). From the minute recruitment started I knew it was the house for me.

I went down to Corvallis, Oregon with the girls on Saturday afternoon. As soon as we got there we got ready and went to the Gala Dinner that was at Reser Stadium {OSU football field}. Not only was it a great dinner/ celebration but I got to see girls that were apart of the house when I was there and many others. There were girls from 50-60 years back, along with all the members that are apart of the house now. It was amazing to see everyone and how we can all connect through this bond of sisterhood.

The next morning started with a tour of our chapter house. It was crazy to see all the changes that were done and how beautiful everything looks. I'm so happy I was able to go and be apart of this special event. Not even chemo and radiation can keep me away from time with my sisters!

The only thing missing from this weekend was my bestie, Taylour. She now lives in L.A and wasn't able to make it up. She was my first good friend in college and still one of my best friends today. Not to mention she's been there for me through everything that has happened. Love you Tay and don't know what I would do without you!
