It's that time of year again.

It was only four years ago when Carter was drafted and our crazy, yet exciting, baseball life began. I will never forget that day. It was during the time I was teaching at "Bates" {pre-k school on campus at Oregon State} and I was extremely nervous, the kids could even tell and kept asking me questions. More than anything I wanted to know what team it would be and where. Carter and I were only getting closer so I knew I would be apart of the wild ride with him. When we found out he was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks I could not have been more excited. First off, it wasn't far from home and Spring Training took place there. Second, it was a place I was excited to go to and really liked. Lastly, and most important, I was just excited for him and the opportunity he was given.
Along with that, I'm a year older than him and was about to graduate from Oregon State, so it worked out having him leave the same year as me. Even though we were dealt a bad hand with my health, everything along the way has been so much fun. I can't wait to go visit him this summer!

So proud of this guy! Go Beavs!
