Here we go: Life update + a fashion sneak peak.

Hello everyone! I can't believe it's been a whole month since my last post. I feel like I have so much to talk about and fill everyone in on! Don't worry though, I will make it simple and highlight the best parts of everything that has happened.

Charleston, South Carolina + New York, New York + Traverse City, Michigan
I also stayed in New Jersey + drove through Indiana!

My first trip started in Charleston, SC where I went for the wedding of my close friends from Oregon State, Courtney and Richard. They are great people and I can't tell you how much fun I had on their big day! I met Court my second year at OSU when she joined Alpha Chi and became part of my family at the sorority. Richard aka TEX {cause he's from Texas} was apart of the fraternity Sigma Chi and also a good friend. I actually knew both of them before they even started dating! Such a great match because they are both incredible people!
Since Carter wasn't able to come {because of baseball} I stayed with my good friend Taylour, who was my best friend in College, a bridesmaid in my wedding and also the "big sister" of Court in our sorority. Tay and I took advantage of our time there {neither of us had ever been} and explored as much as we could. For the time that we had we actually saw quite a bit and loved everything. This is a place we both want to go back to in the future!
Here are some of my favorite pictures from exploring the city + the wedding:

The morning after the wedding I took a flight back to New Jersey, with Tay, to spend a couple nights with her. She lives right on the water over looking NYC, the view is incredible. We spent one day taking a ferry into the city and another relaxing while seeing some places around the area she lives. Found great spots and places I've been wanting to check out. SoHo and Greenwich Village are probably my two favorite spots and the ones I would recommend going to! The 9/11 memorial is also amazing. I didn't go on this trip but I went a couple years ago. When you're there you get a deep feeling, its unreal. Just going through all of these pictures is bringing back good vibes, I had an amazing trip. It could not have been any better.

Here are some pictures from NYC + my time visiting Tay:

Overall it was a great trip in some amazing places with wonderful people! xo

After the big trip I got back in time to enjoy a week of home games and watch Carter play. It's been a great season for him {he says it's because I'm here ;)} and we are having a great time in the Midwest. As of right now he's hit 3 home runs, has a batting average of about .350 and is leading the league in RBI's... not to bad! I couldn't be more proud of him and his love for the game.
Not only is Carter doing well with baseball, but I'm also doing really good. I'm feeling back to my normal self, having a lot more energy and actually having feelings to get out and do things on a daily basis. Chemo was 1. A lot harder than I ever expected & 2. Has taken a lot longer to get out of my system than I ever expected. For a while I thought I would never be back to how I use to feel. But slowly, very slowly, I'm feeling like myself again and it feels GREAT. Last weekend Carter's team had an away series in Traverse City, MI. That was a place I wanted to see and it just so happened to be the weekend of his birthday aka I had to go. And I'm so happy I did! It was beautiful and we had a great time, not mention we got to bring Wrigley along with us!

This past month has been so exciting and carries memories that I won't forget {considering I'm VERY forgetful #memoryloss #brainsurgery}. I'm with my husband AND our pup {Wrigley} feeling good and living life to the fullest. So cheers to that! I hope everyone has a great end to the week and start to the weekend!
